Big Bloomer

The attached pic is the demo piece for the workshop that I got underway while waiting for the tiles and I used far more colours by having the '500 of everything' than what I ordered for the project. The millie fitted in the stamens better than the circles, so they are being saved for a different project. I even managed to paint my name on the bottom tiles under a magnifying light and fired them in the kiln.

There were some 2mm high tiles in what you call 'orange', but what I've used as the brightest yellow, and that got me to thinking about checkerboarding the trumpet in the field of colour, not just the shadows. So here I was taking the back out of tiny tiles for good effect (this created a shading feel).
